Jaane Kis Zamaane Mein Jeetey The

Jaane kis zammane mein jeetey the,
Jab ungli pakad hum chaltey the
Aur khud chalne pe girtey the
Kabhi ro kar toh kabhi has kar
Uthna sikha karte the

Jaane kis zamaane mein jeetey the,
Jab subh school ke liye nahi
Chhutti marne ke liye uthtey the
Papa ka bag uthakar
Unke saath office jaane ko ladtey the

Jaane kis zamaane mein jeetey the,
Jab ladai karke aatey the
Unki aakhon se darte the
Doosrey ki galati ho phir bhi,
Usse apni maana kartey the

Jaane kis zamaane mein jeetey the,
Ghar-ghar khelaa kartey the
Sirf badey jootey aur unki shirt pehenkar
Ghar bhar chillaya kartey the

Jaane kis zamaane mein jeetey the,
Unki yaad sataati, toh phone utha
Office mein call kiya kartey the
Tasalli bhari baton se
Pet bharliya kartey the…

Jaane kis zamaane mein jeetey the,
Jab hum bhi unse
Unhi ki tarah
Behisaab pyaar kiya kartey the…

What's Gone Has Gone.

There’s that fragrance in me again.
Those sleepy lips are still the most beautiful.
This was not a slumber.
Just the night. Sleepless.
And it has gone.
The sun, its brightness, is back.
And the night will comeback,

Only this time I won’t be alone.

Little Nothings #1

She changes things more than anything else does. People get super conscious. Glass – it may break, it might leave a mark on her. Chairs- they’re too high, what if she falls? Balls – I asked you not to play indoors, it might hurt her.

Even on a heavy day, when your boss didn’t let you be a part of the project you worked your ass off. You come home, tired. Throw your tie away and pull out your shirt. You’re about to shout for a glass of water just when you hear her giggle. You go to the kitchen and pour yourself a glass of water (on the rocks \m/).

Once you look at her, you just leave that glass of water – untouched, hold her in your arms and cuddle her, play with her, for hours. Forgetting all what your boss did. Next morning, you get up hoping for a brighter day.

You had never posted a single thing on FB but when she, for the first time, called you with the name which no one ever used before, your profile had a status update which is now, flooded with hundreds of likes and comments.

You used to leave the moist towels on the sofa, bed, chairs but now, you make sure that you hang them in place. For the simplest reason of saving her from any kind of discomfort.

Not only that, you make sure that enough food, mostly her favourite comes her way. So despite of being hungry, tired, frustrated with work, you cook. And you cook well! Her smile says it all.

She steps towards you. Looking at you in the eye. Trusting you, every minute of her life. Loving the motivation you’re giving her. Loving the reasons with which she’s moving towards you.

She’s learning new things. So she started writing. You saw her diary today and all she had to say was, ‘you can’t read that’ and all you had to say was, ‘you bet!’ with raised brows.

She’s finally learned how to tie a knot. And on the most essential day of your life, she’s gifted her hand done tie. When you came back with a wide smile on your face, she didn’t even think once. She came, hugged you and whispered, ‘Well done my boy’

She could be your Daughter or your Wife.

She could be someone’s Daughter and your Wife.

She could be your Daughter and someone’s Wife.

The point is that she’s a daughter, and could be a wife. So why differentiate?

THE WEDDING FILMERS - A TRAP OR A LITTLE MORE?

With all what started a couple of months back, I now have a bunch of sweet memories. At what age am I getting married? I am a few amazing memories old. This best describes us. He has completed me, from where I’d left myself- to what the forces could have driven me to be- to today. And today, I look better than before, am more loved than before and feel complete, like never before.

Around three to four years back, I told a friend of mine, “There will be a time when, the newly weds will have a wedding film of their own. They’ll star in them. They’ll enjoy every bit of it. And we… we shall sit and watch it. Desire and dream, to be in ours, one day.” And guess what, we now have The Wedding Filmer.

What initially started off as the wedding albums has now grown up. And so beautiful - From frills to falls, from lanterns at night to the sun shining so bright, from cheerful mornings to colourful nights, from the bangles to anklets. So much and so more. It just doesn’t end. And you never even want it to.

As a groom or a bride, you undergo a total change. You have to - change, adapt to be someone who you are not and be sweet to everyone. And by everyone I mean even the Bengal wale uncle and Bangalore wali aunty or that Canedda wale bade papa, who you don’t even recall. The worst part is that in all this hustle, you forget to live in the moment. Eventually because you are way too occupied changing dresses, greeting everyone, talking over the phone – like crazy, and of course! getting nervous.

Here is where, they enter. Having filmed weddings of the real life stars to the reel life stars and the other stars too, they have now labelled weddings as a journey. A voyage that checks in to all your desires and stars you in your life’s most memorable film, your wedding.

It is when your parents and friends and relatives start speaking about you, you realize that you meant a lot more to them than what you have, so far. And imagine, you’d missed it all, while you were dressing up for shaam ki chai. So, unlike a lazy herd of cows, your friends decide to reveal that secret to you.

It all starts a week before the Day. And in these seven days, you’re either celebrating someone’s welcome or the change in relations.

So, if you are not convinced with the endless tries of Tanishq, you might just want to change your mind - The Rom-com Wedding Film
