THE WEDDING FILMERS - A TRAP OR A LITTLE MORE?

With all what started a couple of months back, I now have a bunch of sweet memories. At what age am I getting married? I am a few amazing memories old. This best describes us. He has completed me, from where I’d left myself- to what the forces could have driven me to be- to today. And today, I look better than before, am more loved than before and feel complete, like never before.

Around three to four years back, I told a friend of mine, “There will be a time when, the newly weds will have a wedding film of their own. They’ll star in them. They’ll enjoy every bit of it. And we… we shall sit and watch it. Desire and dream, to be in ours, one day.” And guess what, we now have The Wedding Filmer.

What initially started off as the wedding albums has now grown up. And so beautiful - From frills to falls, from lanterns at night to the sun shining so bright, from cheerful mornings to colourful nights, from the bangles to anklets. So much and so more. It just doesn’t end. And you never even want it to.

As a groom or a bride, you undergo a total change. You have to - change, adapt to be someone who you are not and be sweet to everyone. And by everyone I mean even the Bengal wale uncle and Bangalore wali aunty or that Canedda wale bade papa, who you don’t even recall. The worst part is that in all this hustle, you forget to live in the moment. Eventually because you are way too occupied changing dresses, greeting everyone, talking over the phone – like crazy, and of course! getting nervous.

Here is where, they enter. Having filmed weddings of the real life stars to the reel life stars and the other stars too, they have now labelled weddings as a journey. A voyage that checks in to all your desires and stars you in your life’s most memorable film, your wedding.

It is when your parents and friends and relatives start speaking about you, you realize that you meant a lot more to them than what you have, so far. And imagine, you’d missed it all, while you were dressing up for shaam ki chai. So, unlike a lazy herd of cows, your friends decide to reveal that secret to you.

It all starts a week before the Day. And in these seven days, you’re either celebrating someone’s welcome or the change in relations.
